What is our message ?
Freedom. Wonder. Question Authority.
In order to get the political messages across, and not turn people off by sounding preachy, we WOW our audience with outrageous stunts, freaky bikes, and comedy ranging from slapstick to edgy political satire.
come along with us, dumpster diving, to political demonstrations and circus shows, seeing life from a “Clown's -eye – view.” In addition to the every day events of our lives, like biking to work; hanging out the laundry; bickering our way through house meetings and circus meetings, the public can watch us rehearse and put up a show, wrestle with displacement & gentrification, and follow the titillating love lives of clowns living at the fringe of society.
Over the course of a season, you can trace the yearly cycle of the clown house, from political actions in the fall, bar shows and gallery shows through the winter, the annual migration of feral circus people back to Oregon in the spring, and then the glorious summer, Art Walk season, when our street becomes a raucous DIY festival, and we take the stage here in our yard, and outdoor festivals all over the city.

here are a few:
Critical Mass : bike punks block traffic, and make a ruckus, the police crack down, and it gets pretty hairy!

NE Portland house party - Rowdy, drunken crowd, and the lewdest comedy we've got.

The Buy Nothing day Project – We're cut an album to give away for free, downtown, the day after Thanksgiving.

Dumpster diving - Where does an unemployed clown get his dinner, clothing, furnature, giant tapestry of the last supper?
A. everywhere.?
There is a polar opposite circus in town that we work with who are very professional and interesting, they have a rule of “Nothing funny in the show” that works for them, we will be working with them this fall too in an indoor venue.
Field Shows – from the seediest bars, to church picnics, and everything in between, we treat the audience to a good time, and make 'em feel something, to boot (although sometimes, that “something” is a flying waffle).

Pranks – there are a lot of these!
We have bars shows and living arrangements to fight about, I think theres a story here, only thing is it's so unpredictable, who knows how stuff will turn out.
winter is when we actually do use oil in the form of heating, that always makes us grumpy.
